Head of Marketing

We are recruiting Head of Marketing, responsible for setting and executing the marketing strategy to drive sustainable revenue growth across the full MHC wound care portfolio. The role partners closely with Sales and the General Manager to deliver annual revenue targets while building long-term market leadership through strong branding, customer-centric strategies, and a data-driven, modern marketing organization.
What you'll do
1. Strategic Marketing Leadership
• Define and execute short- and long-term marketing strategies aligned to business objectives and product portfolio plans.
• Proactively partner with Sales leadership to drive annual revenue targets by product and prepare the organization for future growth.
• Support the evolution of the commercial model from product selling to solution selling through pilots, projects, and reference sites (Centers of Excellence).
• Lead marketing transformation in alignment with Commercial Excellence initiatives, including more analytical and data-driven decision-making.
2. Portfolio, Product & Launch Management
• Develop differentiated value propositions and positioning frameworks that clearly articulate MHC products’ competitive advantages.
• Provide strategic direction on pricing for new and existing products based on market, competitive, and value analysis.
• Ensure successful new product launches in line with company Launch Excellence
• Monitor product portfolio performance, product availability, and forecasting accuracy throughout the product life cycle.
3. Customer, Market & Competitive Insight
• Continuously investigate customer needs, market segmentation (customer and geographical), and buying behaviors.
• Track and analyze market trends, competitor activities, pricing, promotion, and product regulatory status.
• Analyze customer intelligence and consolidate customer feedback and complaint reports, providing actionable insights to APAC Marketing and Regulatory Affairs.
4. Sales Enablement & Capability Development
• Ensure Sales teams receive continuous, effective product and solution training; measure and maintain high levels of commercial and clinical understanding.
• Direct and manage product training programs for local Sales teams.
• Monitor and influence Sales focus on product listings, strategic account development, portfolio balance, and forecasting accuracy aligned to the marketing strategy
• Provide reliable cross-functional input to systems such as MBM forecasting.
5. Brand, Communication & External Engagement
• Build and strengthen MHC brand awareness and engagement through academic education programs, innovative promotional campaigns, & selective advertising.
• Develop China-specific marketing materials (e.g., product inserts, labels, brochures, giveaways) in compliance with MHC policies and Regulatory Affairs
• Manage external marketing agencies and vendors to ensure high-quality output, brand consistency, and competitive cost structures.
• Maintain oversight of relevant professional associations and societies; define and execute engagement strategies.
• Actively develop and leverage a speaker pool of Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in collaboration with Sales and APAC Marketing.
6. Marketing Excellence
• Assess emerging marketing tools, digital platforms, communication & sales channels; recommend and implement relevant innovations.
• Optimize marketing methodologies, processes, and resource planning to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
7. People Leadership & Organizational Development
• Direct, coach, and develop the local marketing team to ensure strong competencies, effective ways of working, and optimal resource utilization.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance Marketing team culture.

Capabilities
• Strong strategic, analytical, and commercial acumen with deep understanding of market analysis, segmentation, and portfolio management.
• Proven ability to develop and implement marketing strategies, value propositions, and go to market plans (tactical execution)
• Able to translate technical and clinical content into clear, compelling customer messaging/value proposition
• Excellent presentation & communication skills; fluent in written/spoken English.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Medicine or a related healthcare/science discipline.
• Postgraduate degree or diploma in Marketing or Business (MBA preferred).
Experience
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably within a large multinational company (USD 5B+ in annual revenue):
o At least 2 years in Sales, and
o At least 3 years in Marketing or Product Management.
• Experience in medical devices, wound care, pharmaceuticals, or biotechnology, strongly preferred.
• Experience working effectively in matrix and cross functional organizations.
