As the Head of Finance for Korea and Japan, you will partner closely with BA Leaders to grow the business profitably and sustainably, providing advisory support to guide commercial decision making. While providing strategic support to the BA Leaders, you will also ensure that all financial processes are fully compliant with corporate policies, local legislation, and Mölnlycke Health Care standards and statutory filings and payments are made on-time and in good quality. As a People leader, you will also lead an organisation where people can grow and develop, feeling well and with a mindset of continuous improvement.

What you’ll do

  • Make strategic recommendations for management action based on aggregate intelligence drawn from variance reports, broader trends and common issues.
  • Develop financial performance reporting that supports the provision of clear, concise, transparent explanations of financial performance .
  • Project the impact of strategic and/ or operational decisions on the organisation’s financial results.
  • Set frameworks, models and performance indicators related to financial planning process.
  • Partner across senior management and functional groups to reinforce fully informed decision making.
  • Advise senior management of the organisation regarding the integrity and rigour of budgets and forecasts.
  • Improve organisational performance by ensuring that management has access to financial management advice and solutions.
  • Identify the business critical financial challenges confronting the organisation and facilitate LT decision making and corrective actions.
  • Apply contemporary practice to achieve exemplary financial governance for the organization.
  • Align finance function resources and expertise to meet the expectations of senior management and organisational stakeholders.
  • Determine and drive professional networking strategies to enable best practices in financial management governance and leveraging of new approaches and solutions.
  • Co-ordinate and evaluate sales force & marketing investments to secure business cases and implementation according to plan.
  • Ensure good forecasting and predictability. Highlight issues and propose corrective actions.
  • Ensure month closing and reporting processes, statutory compliance and audit requirements are being managed well through the teams.

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy/Finance or an MBA in Finance, ACCA / CPA qualified candidates preferred
  • Minimum 10 years total full time relevant work experience with at least 3 years in financial accounting and 3 years in financial planning & analysis (FP&A)
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel for financial analysis and reporting
  • Solid experience in financial accounting, planning, reporting, and follow-up of business performance
  • Hands-on experience with a major ERP system (e.g., SAP) and/or Business Intelligence tools; working knowledge of Power BI is a plus
  • Experience working in an international environment and collaborating across geographies
  • Communication: Strong written and spoken English, with the ability to clearly convey financial insights to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret financial data and drive actionable recommendations.
  • Collaboration & Initiative: A proactive team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Time & Priority Management: Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and adherence to best practices.
  • Financial Expertise: Solid experience in financial accounting, planning, reporting, and business performance follow-up.
  • Global Perspective: Experience working in an international environment, with an understanding of cross-cultural business practices and global finance standards.
  • Japanese speaking skills is an added advantage
