We’re expanding and seeking a seasoned SAP professional to join our newly formed SAP Platform team as SAP Basis Lead. In this role, you’ll take ownership of Mölnlycke’s SAP platform, core infrastructure and the technical foundation of our SAP ERP environment, as well as ensure that the technical design of our SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud platform supports both immediate business needs and long-term strategic goals. You’ll be responsible for the stability, security, and performance of our SAP ERP environment, working in alignment with Mölnlycke’s architectural standards and SAP best practices.
You will play a key role in ensuring platform stability while equipping our internal product teams with the tools they need to succeed. You'll also be responsible for establishing effective ways of working to operate and manage our new SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud platform. As the guardian of our SAP environment, you will ensure alignment with Mölnlycke’s architectural guidelines and SAP best practices to create a future-ready platform. In close collaboration with SAP Product teams, you’ll help deliver efficient solutions across SAP Basis, Integrations, Roles & Authorizations, and Development — all aligned with our strategic business needs.
Together with internal teams and external partners, you will also champion compliance, license optimization, and operational excellence — all while equipping product teams with the tools they need to succeed.

Key accountabilities for the role:
- Leading and Mentoring: Building, and guiding a team of SAP Basis services, leading service partners and mentoring internal SAP teams
- System operation and management: Together with internal teams and external partners maintaining, configuring, and developing our SAP S/4 HANA environment
- Performance Monitoring: Conducting regular health checks, monitoring system performance, and implementing improvements
- Maintenance cycle: ensuring regular backups, upgrades and patching
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with users and stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure solutions meet expectations.
- Coordination: Working with other IT Product teams to ensure seamless operation of SAP systems
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure all SAP solutions adhere to regulatory, privacy, and security requirements in line with company policies.
- Process and Tool Definition: Define the processes, tools, and capabilities needed to enhance the area´s delivery capacity
Experience we see as a benefit for the role:
- Extensive experience in the SAP environment, particularly in S/4 HANA, RISE, SAP Basis, BTP.
- A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Strong experience with agile development, DevOps practices, and the full Software Delivery Lifecycle.
- Sound experience in orchestrating SAP services in a global, matrixed environment, engaging more outsourcing partners
- Proven team leadership experience, managing and coaching teams in an IT solution development context.
- Demonstrated ability to apply digital technologies to drive business impact.
