As the Senior Buyer within the Oldham site, you will have the opportunity to develop your strategic procurement skills within a multinational environment and deliver key financial improvements which will have definitive impact on the business success.
You’ll make significant contributions in the following areas:
- Leading indirect purchasing activities, including price negotiations, supplier evaluations, and performance assessments
- Building new and maintaining existing key supplier relationships
- Identifying cost of goods improvement opportunities on indirect and raw materials
- Assisting the Procurement Manager with material purchase activities in line with local and global strategies
- Providing analytical data to allow for strategic decision making across the business
- Tracking global shipments and manage customs clearance and exceptions where necessary
- Assist in development of automated purchasing activities including digitisation of current processes and procedures
- Managing supplier performance management to track delivery, quality and flag issues where necessary

What you’ll need
- Prior purchasing experience – Essential
- Proven organisational and analytical skills – Essential
- Demonstrable commercial relationship building – Essential
- Degree qualified or relevant associated qualification (CIPS) - Essential
- Previous experience of a similar highly regulated environment - Beneficial
- Knowledge of the medical device industry - Beneficial
