We’re looking for a Engineering Lead within our textiles manufacturing department to help improve outcomes for healthcare professionals and their patients.

 

The role:

 

Reporting to the Site Manufacturing Manager you will lead and mentor a team of 5 Textile technicians as they ensure the performance and availability of production and auxiliary equipment. You will act as the departmental expert for any job escalations and deliver dynamic team development through 1-2-1 training and continuous improvement.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Supervise and support a team of Textile Technicians and, in the absence of the Skin and Wound Treatment Engineering Lead, a team of Multi skilled Maintenance Engineers
  • Support Production in delivering their CTP (conformance to plan)
  • Deliver the completion of planned and preventative maintenance schedule
  • Lead daily operating meetings to prioritise the Engineers daily workload
  • Manage the engineering costs in line with budgetary requirements
  • Complete relevant compliance documentation in accordance with GMP and CAPAs etc
  • Support in minimising downtime and contributing to the achievement of production targets
  • Supervise outside contractors, service engineers and trades people as required
  • Manage all new and existing engineering documentation such as SOP's and IQ/OQ/PQs
  • Provide support to Process Engineering Lead for ongoing technical projects
  • Oversee small projects such as equipment specification, installation and commissioning

 

Qualifications & Experience:

 

  • Recognised qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering discipline
  • Proven experience leading and developing a team of Engineers
  • Prior departmental budgetary management would be beneficial
  • Experienced in creating planned maintenance schedules
  • Be able to demonstrate a continues improvement mindset
  • Ambitious, hardworking and enthusiastic ‘can do’ attitude
  • Previous experience within a textile manufacturing environment highly desirable
