Wound Care Sales Associate - Gulf Coast

We’re now looking for a Wound Care Sales Associate for the Gulf Coast area to play an important role in our Commercial function. What makes you stand out is your passion for what your work means – coupled with your ability to listen to customers and respond with appropriate urgency. 

The Opportunity

 

This is an entry level position with the goal that after enough training and exposure, the Sales Associate will be ready to move into a Territory Sales Manager (TSM), or next level, position.  In the Sales Associate role, you will be responsible for maintaining customer relationships, and educating customers on product features, distinctions, and utilization.  You will represent the Company in sales calls, and assist your Regional Sales Team in achieving designated sales goals.  You’ll be responsible for administrative duties such as preparing reports, entering data in Salesforce.com, and following up on orders. You will attend sales meetings and trade shows, and remain cognizant of trends and developments in the industry by monitoring competitor activities and products, trade magazines and associations, and customer feedback.  If you are looking for your start in medical sales, and have a drive to learn, we want to talk to you!

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Developing new and / or expanding business with existing customers through introduction of new products, presenting product information, and explaining product features and distinctions
     
  • Working with distributor management and distributor sales representatives to coordinate sales and marketing efforts, expand business opportunities, and increase customer service
     
  • Identifying and resolving customer problems through contact with the Customer Service Department
     
  • Developing effective customer relations in order to ensure satisfaction and service, and promote needs awareness
     
  • Maintaining a variety of contacts within the Company to gather and exchange information related to sales goals and results, product availability and pricing, marketing strategies and plans, and status of orders
     
  • Assisting with the creation of sales meeting presentation materials
     
  • Projects could include temporarily relocating to an open territory for an extended period of time to cover a vacancy 

 

Qualifications and Experience: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or related field from an accredited college and  / or university required
     
  • Demonstrated leadership skills during collegiate experience strongly preferred
     
  • Customer service, sales and / or marketing experience preferred, but not required
     
  • Sales knowledge, plus negotiation skills preferred
     
  • Ability to work in a team environment
     
  • Flexible and open to change
     
  • Intermediate to Advanced level computer skills, including MS Office Suite and social media, Salesforce.com experience a plus

 

Additional Information:

 

  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs., sit, stand, walk for long distances, and stoop
     
  • Must hold and maintain valid driver’s license and have clean driving record that permits the driving of company owned vehicles
     
  • 75% travel required

 

  • Ability to relocate, if necessary

 

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain hospital required credentialing

 

  • Sales Associates are dedicated to work in either Surgical, Wound Care, or Turning & Positioning (T&P)
