To support the GBS-Finance Department, while reporting to the Director of Accounting. Responsible for performing a variety of professional accounting duties such as preparing and filing tax returns with an emphasis on sales, use, gross receipts, business license, and other similar returns. Monitoring various ledger accounts, preparing and posting journal entries and financial reports for Canada and other entities where needed. Perform Account Reconciliations, monitor bank cash postings/transactions and special projects as assigned..



  • Prepare and file tax returns and other similar returns.
  • Ensure returns and payments are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain documentation regarding sales and use tax requirements for various states.
  • Review Accounts Payable invoices to determine applicable sales and/or use tax.
  • Analyze and prepare annual property tax returns for multiple states.
  • Complete various informational returns such as census reporting.
  • Obtain sales tax exempt certificates from customers.
  • Respond to sales/use tax notices as well as customer/vendor tax related questions.
  • Research tax issues and keep current on tax laws/regulations for responsible states.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger prepaid and misc. cash accounts.
  • Prepare general ledger journal entries.
  • Special projects per direction of management.
  • Provide support for external audits, government and tax reporting.
  • Continue to develop process enhancements for compliance and other related functions.
  • Identify and regularly communicate status of internal due dates with managers.
  • Provide general accounting support.
  • Inter-company reconciliation.
  • Perform financial submissions to group for Canada.



Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university ;
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles.
  • 3 or more years of experience in Accounting/Tax experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Sales & Use Tax procedures.
  • Knowledge of State/Local tax laws and policies as defined by taxing authorities.
  • SAP and Tax software experience preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Excel – a MUST..
