HR Manager, Norcross, GA

We are currently searching for an HR Manager/ People Experience Manager (PX Manager). This person will be based in our Norcross, GA.

The HR Manager/  PX Manager will lead the People Operations function for North America (US and Canada). This includes payroll, benefits and 401K administration, compensation administration and  employee records management.  This position must maintain a high level of customer service for employees and Managers. This role will help establish an operating rhythm to ensure that the People Operations and systems are running effectively and efficiently to meet our goals and to ensure the employee life-cycle processes are aligned to the global People Excellence  Services organization.

 

This role will have primary responsibility for leading the North America People Excellence team, ensuring accurate, timely and value-add delivery of responsibilities across payroll, on-boarding and People Service Desk functions including supervision of the People Excellence team

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

Payroll & Benefit Administration Oversight

  • Oversight of  outsourced multi-state payroll processing covering exempt, commissions, non-exempt and hourly payroll including shift differentials through an external hosted payroll service. Highly proficient in multi-state payroll tax laws, garnishments, year-end and quarter-end closings. Prepare periodic reports for management and regulatory agencies. Knowledge of  with setting up earnings, deduction, GL codes and benefit and payroll interface files.
  • Oversight for the administration of employee benefit programs (vacation, holidays, leave of absence, disability, medical/dental coverage, pension plans, 401K, COBRA etc) & leading the Annual Open enrolment process. Serve as SME (Subject Matter Expert) and recommend best practices for benefit and pension administration to improve integration of processes and increase system effectiveness.
  • Manage vendor relationships and serve as the  primary interface on day to day issues. Ensure r high performance standards & SLAs are met or exceeded.

Employee Life Cycle Management

  • Manage full cycle employee administration, including onboarding, employee status changes, employee file maintenance, offboarding & ensuring these life-cycle processes are executed, audited and governed according to defined service levels and well documented.
  • Responsibility for the team supporting employee & manager enquiries by providing best in class customer service & assisting with the interpretation of local HR policies, processes and procedures.
  • Maintain and update HR policies and employee handbook. Keep the local HR intranet site and other relevant information to employees updated.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State and local rules, laws and regulations with respect to maintaining & archiving employee personnel records.
  • Experience creating, establishing  and managing workflows, processes, and SLAs & working knowledge of case management systems and tools.
  • Support with annual salary review, bonus & performance management process.

 

Leadership

  • Experience leading a cross-functional team, ability to work in a matrix organization and partner across HR, with Legal, Finance and other internal stakeholders.
  • Passionate leader who inspires, motivates and coaches direct reports to deliver and exceed results.
  • Lead a team of People Experience(PX) specialist to ensure both projects and day to day activities are delivered to expectations and within defined service level agreements.
  • Manage the PX specialist team including hiring and training, direct supervision, and performance management including setting goals and writing performance reviews etc.
  • Provide mentorship, growth and development opportunities for the PX specialists as well guidance for continued progression within the organization

HRIS & Master Data Management

  • Responsibility for People data master data management.   .
  • Lead implementation and change management process for any new HCM, Payroll or Benefit systems installation.
  • Support the business on HR analytics & insights & other reports from time to timeIdentify risks or opportunities and recommend changes to processes which improve the delivery of people services to the organization.
  • Increase the efficiency of department functioning by creating new tools, processes and procedures and enhancing People Excellence business practices.
  • Lead the  development and maintenance of the People  case management and knowledge database system.
  • Assists with other local and global projects and other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or other business related field of study or equivalent as obtained through senior level HR or business experience
  • Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, Statistics, Finance, Economics preferred
  • Minimum of 5-6 years of experience with HRIS, payroll systems
  • Certification in HRIS / Payroll / Benefits preferred
  • Experience working in a shared services organisation

Preferred Skills/ Competences:

  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional); FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification)
  • PHR certification
  • HRIS/ Project management certifications
  • Process improvement methodologies and change management experience
