Payroll, Benefits, & HRIS SR Manager

The PX Operations Manager will lead the People Operations function for North America (US and Canada). This includes benefits administration, compensation administration and employee records management. The PX Manager is responsible for oversight of payroll administration that is supported by a third party vendor. This position must maintain a high level of customer service for employees and Managers. This role will help establish an operating rhythm to ensure that the People operations and systems are running effectively and efficiently to meet our goals and to ensure the employee life-cycle processes are aligned to the global HR Services organization.

 

Leadership

• Experience leading a cross-functional team, ability to work in a matrix organization and partner across HR, with Legal, Finance and other internal stakeholders. Payroll & Benefit Administration oversight

• Oversight of the administration of outsourced multi-state payroll processing covering exempt, commissions, non-exempt and hourly payroll including shift differentials.

• Experience setting up earnings, deductions, GL codes and benefit and payroll interface files.

• Oversight for the administration of employee benefit programs (vacation, holidays, leave of absence, disability, medical/dental coverage, pension plans, 401K, COBRA etc).

• Development and implementation of the Annual Open enrolment process including decision making on plan change design with our broker and responsible for gaining leadership support and budget approval on annual plans.

• Serve as SME (Subject Matter Expert) and recommend best practices for benefit administration. Employee life cycle management

• Manage full cycle employee administration, including onboarding, employee status changes, employee file maintenance, offboarding & ensuring these life-cycle processes are executed, audited and governed according to defined service levels and well documented.

• Responsibility for the team supporting employee & manager inquiries by providing best in class customer service & assisting with the interpretation of local HR policies, processes and procedures.

• Maintain and update HR policies and Employee Handbook.

• Keep the local HR intranet site and other relevant information to employees updated

• Ensure compliance with Federal, State and local rules, laws and regulations with respect to maintaining & archiving employee personnel records. • Experience creating, establishing and managing workflows, processes, and SLAs & working knowledge of case management systems and tools

• Ensure master data in all systems reflecting current situation, including reporting lines, pay and benefits, position data, employment data.

• Propose technology solutions to support accurate operations in administrative processes.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

• Master’s Degree preferred

• Prior experience working with HRIS and payroll systems preferred

• Experience working in a shared services organisation

• Prior vendor management experience

• Savvy with learning different operating systems
