At Mölnlycke, we're looking beyond traditional healthcare channels to identify new ways to deliver value to patients, consumers, healthcare professionals, and partners. As our Global Market Development Manager, you'll help shape the future of wound care by identifying and building entirely new growth opportunities across retail, pharmacy, e-commerce, and consumer health channels.
This is not a role focused on executing an existing playbook. It's about creating one.
Looking for an opportunity to build something new?
As Global Market Development Manager, you'll lead the search for untapped opportunities beyond our current business model. You'll combine customer insight, market trends, commercial thinking, and entrepreneurial curiosity to create future-focused growth strategies across emerging channels including retail, Amazon, pharmacy, and OTC environments.
You'll work globally, partnering with teams across Marketing, Commercial, R&D, Business Development, and Digital Enablement to transform ideas into scalable growth platforms.
What you'll do:
- Identify and evaluate blue-ocean growth opportunities beyond traditional healthcare channels
- Build market development strategies for new channels including retail, pharmacy, e-commerce, Amazon, and consumer health
- Develop future-ready business models, partnerships, and value propositions that support long-term growth
- Translate unmet customer, consumer, shopper, and retailer needs into actionable innovation opportunities
- Lead market discovery initiatives to validate new commercial opportunities, customer segments, and routes to market
- Develop and prioritize concepts using a test-and-learn, fail-fast approach
- Partner cross-functionally to shape innovation briefs and influence future portfolio investments
- Monitor healthcare, consumer, retail, and digital trends to identify emerging opportunities and potential disruptions
- Act as a subject matter expert in channel innovation, market creation, and ecosystem development
What you'll get:
- The opportunity to influence the future direction of a global healthcare leader
- A highly visible role focused on innovation, growth, and business transformation
- Competitive compensation, annual bonus, healthcare benefits, retirement plans, and wellness programs
- Collaboration with global colleagues who are passionate about improving patient outcomes and advancing healthcare
What you bring:
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Science, or a related discipline
- Significant experience in market development, innovation, strategic marketing, business development, or commercial leadership
- Experience within MedTech, healthcare, pharmaceutical, consumer healthcare, or adjacent regulated industries
- Proven success creating and launching new growth opportunities, business models, or market entry strategies from the ground up
- Experience identifying opportunities in ambiguous, emerging, or undeveloped markets
- Strong understanding of global commercialization, go-to-market strategy, and market creation
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and leading through collaboration rather than authority
You'll stand out if you have
- Experience bringing products, services, or solutions into retail, OTC, pharmacy, or e-commerce channels
- Experience working with Amazon or other major online retail platforms
- Exposure to startup, entrepreneurial, venture-building, or high-growth environments
- Experience launching new-to-world innovations, categories, or business models
- Business development, partnership, or ecosystem-building experience
- Global marketing experience with a strong understanding of regional market differences
Success in this role requires someone who:
- Thinks beyond today's products and market boundaries
- Thrives in ambiguity and enjoys building where no clear roadmap exists
- Combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution
- Is energized by experimentation, learning, and continuous evolution
- Challenges conventional approaches and sees opportunities others miss
- Brings an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for creating future growth
