Business Intelligence Manager

We’re now looking for an Business Intelligence Manager to play an important role in our Operations function. What makes you stand out is your passion for what your work means – coupled with your ability to listen to customers and respond with appropriate urgency.

Purpose of the Position:

Owning, managing and continuously improve regional and local analytics solutions to enable users with appropriate information and business insights to improve, control and manage the business. Aligning the technical setup with global standards, making sure that the technical platform is used as intended.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Define analytics application solutions, create specifications, and implement these solutions in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Work closely with the local DART team, providing them with data, and owning the technical setup. Coaching users/developers in technical issues and supporting them when needed.
  • Works closely with Users to research and document task specifications. Design and implement reporting scenarios that meet the requirements according to the design specifications.
  • Implement and oversee analytical approaches and methodologies.
  • Control and develop internal/external information sources for business analysis.
  • Drive and manage regional and local project or change requests within the analytics area when needed. Work closely with business stakeholders to establish and manage an analytics roadmap for the region, drive activities within that roadmap, communicate clearly with all stakeholders regarding timing, priorities, delays, etc.
  • Support business functions and management with insight and recommendations for decision making and strategic planning, identify market/consumer trends and generate insights that are relevant for the ongoing strategic planning cycle.
  • Support self-service development within the analytics area, through:
  • Managing a regional Developer Community, sharing news, ideas and thoughts
  • Build and maintain a regional data platform/library and catalogue for key market / consumer dynamics, based on the global analytics platform, following the global principles.
  • Train users regionally and locally, and where possible, train the trainer for local users.
  • Work closely with global Analytics team, plan joint activities and support global team with regional and local tasks and initiatives, utilizing global development resources when applicable.
  • Follow global analytics development guidelines and ensure quality control over regional/local self-service development.
  • Support users through 1st line support with analytics requests and incidents. Escalate to global resources when applicable.
  • Follow Global IT policies, processes and procedures.Test changes or new features/ systems in the Analytics area.
  • Make sure that there is proper documentation in place for both Regional and Local IT.
     
    Key Decisions:
  • Use good judgement to make department recommendations on project plans, analytics, changes and issues.
  • Able to write and disseminate work plans and project documents, including procedures, proposals, progress reports and presentations that represent Molnlycke Health Care US.
  • Produces presentations to stake holders for the purpose of informing or gaining commitment and mandate.
  • Communicates global analytics decisions back to local IT and the business in a clear and concise manner to ensure consistent two way communication flow is always in place.
  • Prepares a variety of recurring and special reports and analyses of analytics utilization, operation, and the like as requested.
  • Keeps abreast of changes in BI software enhancements and development applications

  • Experience of technical solutions such as analytics, cubes, data warehouse and knowledge of tools such as Power BI, Microsoft SQL Server (SSAS, SSIS and MDS).
  • Ability to work with the business to drive technology solutions that meet their needs.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with internal and external customers.
  • Commercial Acumen: P&L, price modelling, sales tracings through distributors, Commercial Excellence.
  • Advanced analytical skills and financial
  • Understanding.
  • Aptitude for data visualization.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate and interpret technical problems/solutions to non-technical users.
  • Organized and structured.
  • Self-starter, efficient and service minded.
  • Basic understanding of the ITIL process and experience of ServiceNow or similar ticket handling system.
  • Ability to work closely with non-technical users and provide an BI solution that meets their needs.

    Education/Qualification:
  • 7+ years’ experience with analytics, cubes, data warehouse and knowledge of tools such as Cognos, Power BI, Microsoft SQL Server (SSAS, SSIS and MDS).
  • 7+ years’ experience with a SQL database and commands (ability to read and write basic SQL commands).
  • 7+ years’ experience as a business analyst or financial analyst.
  • 5+ years’ experience with database modeling in a data warehouse environment.
  • 2+ years’ experience providing end-user training on BI tools and their application to the business.
  • Willingness to learn and drive and develop the analytics support area with the Americas region.
  • Proactiveness and understanding of business criticality.
  • Act with "Customer at heart" attitude, always acknowledging the user’s issues.
  • Degree or equivalent in business or a related subject. Commercial / analytical experience in a Healthcare / Pharma industry.
  • Experience of working in an international organization.
  • Stakeholder management skills with internal and external customers.
