The role:

The role of the SRM is to win and develop new and existing business, in addition to accurately forecast and predict territory sales performance to Regional Business Managers in order to facilitate an accurate Mölnlycke Business Management sales forecast for the UK organisation.


You will also identify stakeholders within emerging Primary Care Networks, Integrated Care Systems, key senior hospital/CCG management, procurement and high-level clinical stakeholders within defined territory, and build strategic relationships offering the Mölnlycke Value Proposition.


Accelerating sales across the territory in collaboration with the regional Clinical Support Manager through the development of opportunities related to Pressure Ulcer Prevention, Strategic Wound Management Opportunities, formulary penetration and defined therapeutic pathways with customer collaborated implementation strategies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve agreed territory sales targets by; commercially managing target accounts and supporting Clinical Support Managers in delivering strategically important opportunities
  • Develop and deliver profitable, competitive commercial solutions and pioneer strategic solutions for consolidated purchasing opportunities.
  • Own and manage the territory tender process to ensure commercial advantage in maintaining and securing new primary and secondary care contracts and formulary position.
  • Engage with director, key clinical and other high level stakeholders within the Acute and Primary care sector to include but not limited to, Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), Vanguards, Local Area Teams (LATs), Clinical Senates, Any Qualified Providers (AQPs), Tissue Viability, Primary Care Networks (PCN’s), and Integrated Care Systems (ICS’s).
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of NHS and local needs related to wound care provision in order to develop and align Mölnlycke’s value proposition.
  • Create and maintain Territory Plans in CRM for all accounts and execute the strategies contained within these plans.
  • Collaborative working with internal business functions to deliver customer focussed commercial proposals and tenders submissions.
  • Accountable for communication of competitor Business Intelligence and Market Intelligence reporting to RBM.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience of working at Healthcare Partnership Manager level and above is essential.
  • Key account management methodology desirable.
  • Relevant healthcare experience preferably within a medical device/ solution environment.
  • Highly developed communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven track record in selling to procurement & finance and managing commercial decisions is essential.
  • Demonstration of consultative and conceptual selling skills
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Understanding of the NHS is essential.
  • Understanding of Drug Tariff is desirable.
  • Experience with tender process is desirable
