Business/ Financial Controller

We are looking for a Business / Financial Controller to join our finance team of Mikkeli factory. Your responsibilities will include both Management and Financial accounting related responsibilities. The responsibilities will be tailored based on the background of applicant. In your role you will be reporting to Financial Manager of Mikkeli factory. You will work in close collaboration with your Controller colleague and our local accountant specialists.

Responsibilities 

Your responsibilities will include budgeting, forecasting and product costing. You will participate on factory monthly closing activities and reporting to headquarters. You will also participate building business cases and financial calculations for investment requisitions. You will support decision making from financial perspective and perform various ad-hoc analyses. From financial accounting side you will secure legally correct (compliance of TAX, VAT, FAS) and timely closed books including statutory and group reporting. You will be part of building internal controls and policies as well as securing development and effectiveness of financial processes. Based on your background you will take responsibility to lead some of the mentioned responsibility areas and participate and assist on other areas.

 

Requirements

We expect you to have Master’s degree within Finance or Industrial Management with a minimum 5 years of Management and/or Financial accounting experience. Fluency in Finnish and English is required. You have strong IT skills especially on Microsoft Excel and Power BI. The experience from SAP is seen as a merit. You have good knowledge in Finnish accounting and tax law and principles. Understanding and experience of international accounting standards are seen as merit. As a person you are positive, energetic and analytic. You are willing to take responsibility and own the outcome. You are a good team player and willing to constantly develop yourself and ways of working. You remain effective under stress and hectic timetables.
