Continuing to invest in a sustainable future, Mölnlycke is now hiring a Senior Material Developer to our ORS R&D Material & Packaging development team, situated at our global HQ in Gothenburg. The purpose of the position is to lead development and implementation of new packaging materials and/or design changes of existing packaging materials in order to meet customer needs and/or to secure supply, compliance and competitiveness.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Project

  • Drive and execute material and design projects
  • Work in projects where you will plan, develop, deliver and document packaging materials and packaging systems.
  • Accountable to deliver in assigned design control roles for development and change projects

Line

  • Responsible for development of new packaging materials
  • Responsible for maintaining and developing knowledge of packaging materials
  • Secure supply for existing packaging solutions by working with internal partners and suppliers
  • Suggesting continuous improvements such as processes, work instructions and ways of working
  • Represent Mölnlycke Health Care and lead technical aspects during discussions and negotiations with appointed suppliers. Act as a speaking partner to procurement and SQA in packaging related questions.
  • Responsible for maintaining and developing knowledge of packaging materials and packaging systems.
  • Responsible to ensure material documentation is up to date and compliant
  • Suggesting continuous improvements such as processes, work instructions and ways of working
  • Coaching of packaging developers in the team
  • Coordinate/Lead packaging activities within the team

 

CAPABILITIES; QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Capabilities

  • Technical understanding of Medical Devices R&D
  • Knowledge of packaging materials
  • Knowledge of Global Regulatory Requirements and standards
  • Understanding of customer and end user needs, including market insight
  • Knowledge in QMS and Design control
  • Communication skills
  • Fluent English written and spoken
  • Assigned business area knowledge and general business acumen

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry or life science or equivalent
  • Knowledge of paper and plastic materials and experience from development of new materials.
  • Experiences from development of packaging materials and systems
  • Experience from product development/ R&D preferably from MedTech or other similar industries, i.e., Hygienic, Pharma, Food industry etc.
  • Documentation skills
  • Experience from sustainainability is a merit.
