We are now looking for a R&D Manager Technical Product Management, Wound Care based out of our headquarters in Gothenburg.

 

About the job


We are looking for a leader with strong leadership skills and ability to lead high profile and experienced co-workers.
 

In this role you’ll lead the Technical Product Management team in managing the Wound care medical device assortment from a technical documentation, master data, post-market and compliance perspective.
 

You’ll provide guidance and expertise into new product development projects, support in the planning of changes to be implemented on existing assortments and drive continuous improvements in processes and ways of working.
 

You play a crucial role in our product life cycle management and new product development which are both essential parts of our business, supporting short term customer service as well as our product launch roadmap.

This includes product updates, footprint exercises, geographical expansions, regulatory requirement updates and supplier initiated changes, as well as new product launches.

 

These are other key accountabilities for this position

 

  • As a resource / competence owner, in the daily operation, lead the team.
  • From a resource planning perspective manage own personnel as well as external reinforcements.
  • From a competence and capacity perspective develop the capabilities in the team to meet existing and future demands.
  • Identify and work on improvements in order to drive efficiency in execution.
  • Collaborate with other managers and project teams to balance capacity vs timeline.
  • Manage OPEX and possible investment needs.
  • Manage and run the annual staff admin process including
    • Salary and compensation reviews
    • Performance reviews
    • Objective setting
    • Individual development planning
  • Manage office EHS topics according to delegation

 

 

What you’ll need

  • Academic background in engineering (Bachelor or Master degree)
  • Minimum 10 years of work experience from product development and life cycle management – whereof at least 5 years within the medical device industry sector
  • Good knowledge about key processes like Design and Change Control, Risk management and Post Market Surveillance
  • Good knowledge about PLM systems
  • Knowledge about applicable medical device standards and directives
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, fluid in English
