Mölnlycke is now looking for a Principal Developer within Wound Care who will take the ownership of the technical development in the early stage of development process, having a strategic and dynamic mindset and with the capability of stakeholder management in a complex international environment.

 

In this position you’ll be working within our headquarters in Gothenburg.

 

About the job

In this position you'll be part of the management team within the business are and drive initiatives based on analysis of strategic direction and business needs.
 

You’ll drive the development and implementation of new materials and technologies in order to meet unmet customer needs, to help us reduce the carbon footprint of our products or to increase competitiveness.

 

These are the key accountabilities for this position

 

In this position you’ll manage and execute complex early development projects with high business and strategic impact. You’ll lead projects and be accountable to deliver in assigned roles. You’ll proactively assess technologies to fuel pipeline.

 

You’ll identify technical solutions to unmet customer needs and new potential business areas, actively contribute to strategy within assigned area and generate new product ideas.
 

You’ll define and specify needs for new test methods and identify, suggest and drive implementation of continuous improvements such as processes, work instructions and ways of working, also being responsible for coaching of more junior staff.

 

What you’ll need

This role requires that you’ll have these capabilities, qualifications and experience:

  • Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry or life science or equivalent
  • 10 years’ experience within product development
  • 5 years’ experience working in technology development, preferably in med tech industry
  • Proven leadership experience
  • High proficiency in English language, additional languages are a plus
  • General technical knowledge in the field of medical device (preferred)
  • Expert level knowledge in assigned product area (Senior level)
  • Knowledge of Global Regulatory Requirements and standards related to medical device.
  • Good knowledge of all steps in IP generation
  • High demand on communication skills
  • Fluent English written and spoken
  • Assigned business area knowledge and general business acumen
  • Recognised as thought leader in assigned field
