Mölnlycke is now hiring a new Financial Controller to our Finance team at the Mikkeli factory.

 

As a Financial Controller with us, you will take full ownership of the financial accounting for the Finnish legal entity. This is a senior, hands‑on role where you ensure high‑quality statutory reporting, strong compliance, and seamless alignment between local requirements and group standards. You will act as the go‑to accounting expert locally, working closely with the business in Finland while collaborating with global finance and shared service teams. This role plays a key part in strengthening financial accuracy, integrity, and transparency as selected accounting responsibilities return to the local organization.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

You will be responsible for end‑to‑end accounting and reporting, including:

  • Full responsibility for financial accounting of the Finnish legal entity
  • Monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities
  • Preparation of statutory financial statements, tax returns, VAT, and other regulatory filings in Finland
  • Ensuring compliance with local GAAP, tax legislation, and Group accounting policies
  • Group reporting deliverables in cooperation with Group Accounting and global finance teams
  • Acting as the main contact for external auditors and authorities
  • Managing balance sheet reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
  • Supporting tax, transfer pricing, and internal control activities
  • Driving continuous improvements in accounting processes and reporting quality
  • Collaborating closely with local business stakeholders (e.g. factory, sales) and global finance functions

 

What you’ll need

We are looking for an experienced professional who can operate confidently from day one.

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
  • Senior-level accounting experience with independent responsibility for a legal entity
  • Proven experience in:
    • Monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
    • Statutory financial statements and compliance
    • Finnish accounting and tax environment
  • Solid understanding of tax and regulatory requirements
  • Fluent Finnish and good professional English
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Proactive self‑starter with a continuous improvement mindset and a positive approach to change

 

 

We see it as beneficial if you have experience from:

  • Experience in an international or group environment
  • Exposure to shared service centers or group reporting
  • ERP experience (e.g. SAP)
