We are now looking for Environmental, Health, Safety & Security Lead to join our Environmental, Safety & Health (EHS) team.

Here’s how you’ll make an impact in this roll.

  • Drive and promote a strong Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) culture, ensuring compliance with OSHA (Amendment) Act 2022 and other applicable regulations.
  • Implement and sustain Environmental Management Systems in line with the Environmental Quality Act (EQA) 1974 (Act 127) 
  • Support the continuous improvement of plant facilities to enhance safety, health, and environmental performance.
  • Coordinate and support EHS training programmes to build awareness and capability across the workforce.
  • Support and conduct EHS audits, including audit planning, execution, and follow‑up actions.
  • Assist in the maintenance and compliance of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems, including documentation control and employee training.
  • Coordinate incident and accident investigations, ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Lead and support HIRARC activities, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk control measures.
  • Manage waste and scheduled waste in accordance with EQA and relevant regulations, while promoting sustainable and waste‑reduction practices.
  • Support pollution control operations to ensure compliance with legal and environmental requirements.
  • Coordinate fire protection system maintenance, emergency preparedness, and site contingency planning.
  • Liaise and collaborate with regulatory authorities (e.g. DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, NIOSH) and external stakeholders to ensure compliance.
  • Support site insurance compliance, vendor and contractor EHS management, and regulatory audits.
  • Prepare monthly EHS reports, including audit outcomes, performance indicators, and accident statistics.
  • Support budget planning and execution for annual and monthly EHS programmes.
  • Work closely with site leadership, EHS committees, and cross‑functional teams to drive EHS initiatives.
  • Perform other EHS‑related duties as assigned by Department Head.
  • Coordinate for site EHS Committee (secretary) and perform EHS site inspection as per legal requirement.

 

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5–8 years’ experience in EHS, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Certified Environmental Professional in Scheduled Waste Management (CEPSWaM)
  • Registered Safety & Health Officer (SHO) or equivalent certification
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA (Amendment) Act 2022, EQA 1974, and local regulations
  • Experience with ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 management systems
  • Hands‑on experience in HIRARC, incident investigation, audits, and compliance
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder and collaboration skills
