Purpose of Position
- Build and own the company's enterprise data platform from scratch.
- Establish enterprise-wide data architecture standards, master data standards, data models, naming conventions, and a scalable data warehouse foundation to support business growth and analytics.
- Build a unified and trusted data foundation by consolidating data from SAP ERP, DMS, external e-commerce platforms, CRM, and other business systems into a single source of truth for products, customers, channels, and orders.
- As the company's first dedicated Data Architect, reporting to the Head of IT China, the role combines hands-on implementation with architectural thinking to build the data capabilities required for data-driven decision-making and future AI initiatives.
What you'll do
Data Architecture
• Design and build the company's overall data architecture and data platform.
• Define enterprise data models, data standards, naming conventions, coding standards, data dictionaries, and data governance policies.
• Establish Master Data Management (MDM) standards for products, customers, suppliers, channels, and other key business entities.
• Provide data architecture guidance for local platform projects.
• Review key data structures, interface designs, and data integration solutions.
• Design and implement enterprise data warehouse architecture and data platform frameworks.
Data Integration & ETL
• Design and develop ETL/ELT frameworks and processes.
• Design data integration solutions for SAP ERP, DMS, external e-commerce platforms, CRM.
• Design and develop data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
• Build and maintain core business subject areas including customers, products, suppliers, channels, orders.
Database Design
• Design and maintain MySQL (primary) and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Establish database development standards, naming conventions, and management guidelines.
• Design and maintain core business database models.
• Manage database accounts, roles, and access control structures.
• Implement database access control and audit mechanisms.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and data processing logic.
BI & Analytics Platform
• Support the implementation and optimization of enterprise BI platforms, including Power BI and FineBI/FineReport.
• Design and maintain data models that support reporting and analytics requirements.
• Develop critical dashboards and management reports during the initial data platform build phase.
• Provide technical support for business analytics and self-service reporting.
Data Governance
• Establish and maintain the company's data governance framework.
• Develop and maintain master data management processes and standards.
• Establish data quality management processes.
• Define data access, security, and compliance standards.

Independently
• Define data architecture, data models, master data standards, and technical solutions.
• Review and approve data structures, integration designs, and data standards for new systems and projects.

• Prioritize data initiatives, project scope, and technology selection with the Head of IT China and business stakeholders.
What you'll need
Education
• Bachelor's degree or above.
• Major in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related disciplines.
Technical Skills
• Database Expert Knowledge: MySQL (Primary); Microsoft SQL Server; Familiar With Oracle Database.
• Required Experience: Database architecture and design; Data modelling; SQL performance tuning and complex query development; Data migration; Database account, role, and permission management; Data security and access control.
• ETL & Data Integration. Experience with one or more of the following: SSIS, Informatica, Talend, DataStage, Azure Data Factory.
• Required capabilities: ETL architecture design and development, Data synchronization and integration, API and system interface integration
• BI & Analytics Experience with one or more of the following platforms: Power BI FineBI/FineReport, or Tableau.
• Required capabilities: Enterprise BI implementation, Data warehouse development, Star Schema and Snowflake Schema data modelling and Dashboard development.
Experience
• 6+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, data warehousing, or business intelligence.
• Proven experience in designing and building data platforms, data warehouses, and data integration solutions.
• Hands-on experience with database design, ETL development, data modeling.
• Experience integrating data across SAP ERP and other enterprise business systems.
