The General Manager Manufacturing Changshu, WC has the overall responsibility for Mölnlycke Health Care activities at Brunswick and Wiscasset Manufacturing facilities. The responsibility is for leading the manufacturing function, including delivering manufacturing strategy, goals, objectives and budgets and managing continuous improvement performance. This position provides strategic analysis and guidance for improving the organizational footprint, structure, resource allocation, processes and performance metrics of the business and determines the organizational culture. Builds and drives an engaged workforce that fosters a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvements. As leader of the Senior Management Team, the Manufacturing Director inspires the team toward organizational and site specific mission, vision, and demonstrates core values through collaboration and exemplary personal standards. He/she keeps the team informed on the operational and financial conditions of the business and participates as a team member by providing key financial, strategic, operational, and analytical input.


What you’ll do
 

•    Develops, formalizes, and refines business strategy with initiatives, roadmaps, resource plans to ensure strategic advantages are being developed. 
•    Ensures business policy, resource allocation, and performance metrics are clearly communicated throughout Wiscasset and Brunswick and manufacturing sites
•    Develop, coach, and assess management team toward organizational excellence and performance improvement. 
•    Ensure environmental, health and safety programs are implemented and in compliance with all applicable regulations.
•    Ensure on-going improvement of product quality and manufacturing processes. 
•    Ensures budgetary, performance requirements and financial targets are met or exceeded.
•    Drives organizational performance and build pipeline of talent
•    Develops a culture that fosters accountability, continuous improvements and teamwork. Leading by using Mölnlycke’s High Performance Behaviours.  
•    Supports and demonstrates the Core Values set by the Company.
•    Interact with other Plant Managers and technology groups within Mölnlycke to benchmark on best practices.
•    Interface with external and internal auditors as needed.
•    Champion and sponsors continuous improvement initiatives to full execution. 
•    Performs other duties as required or assigned.

 

What you’ll decide

 

  • Delivery of development and implementation of local financial & operational goals and performance measures, in conjunction with global strategy and goals.
  • Sets local organizational structure and develops team to achieve corporate, local and individual objectives.
  • Implementation methodology for people, processes, and production to meet organizational objectives.
  • Responsible for the outgoing quality, safety and efficiency of all finished product, compliance with all applicable specifications, Standard Operating Procedures, FDA regulations.
  • Interact regularly with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning functional areas and customers.
  • Responsible for long-range strategic planning for the facility and participates in long-range planning for the manufacturing function.

Team Leadership.
•    Masters of Science Degree (or equivalent) in manufacturing or business related field preferred.
•    Ten or more years of experience in a similar manufacturing role highly preferred.
•    Experience developing and delivering results in a high performance environment required. 
•    Experience leading and developing people in high technology, medical device manufacturing facility preferred
•    Excellent analytical skills.
