We are seeking a 3rd shift Quality Assurance Lab Technician responsible for monitoring the quality of manufactured wound care products and ensuring the quality system is operating according to regulatory requirements and ISO standards.

  • Starting pay is $18/hr (+$2 shift differential for hours worked between 5:30pm and 5:30am)

Your role

  • Testing and verification of manufactured products, ensuring product conformance to specifications by conducting physical testing in a controlled laboratory environment in preparation for sterilization and final release.
  • QMS system operation, including maintaining specific subsystems such as CAPA, Document Control, Internal Auditing, and Supplier Quality.
  • Perform incoming raw material inspections to check for compliance with company specifications.
  • Perform validation material testing as required.
  • Perform data mining activities for trend analysis and improvement projects.
  • Track instrument calibrations and ensure test equipment is maintained as required by the calibration schedule.
  • Maintain and review quality documents for accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements and ISO standards.
  • May develop and implement new procedures, standards and specifications as required by the Quality Management System.
  • Manage the storage and retrieval of retained product samples.
  • Routinely make observations of production line processes. Report non-conforming findings to the supervisor.
  • Monitor changes to standard operating procedures and make recommendations for improvements to those processes.
  • Prepare required product release documents and assist with final product verifications prior to shipment.
  • Interface with other departmental staff members to resolve quality system issues and complaints.
  • Conduct internal auditing of quality system processes.
  • Create/generate standard and ad hoc reports regarding product quality.
  • Support the effort to implement best practices within job scope.
  • Participate in activities designed to improve production, quality, and EHS.



  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Positive attitude and works well in teams or independently
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office software
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational skills with a strong ability to perform detailed repetitive tasks with precision
  • Proficient in the use of problem-solving tools to analyze, identify root causes, and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma manufacturing methods
  • 1-2 years quality-related industrial production or medical device manufacturing experience preferred
  • 1-2 years’ experience working in an ISO 9001-2008 certified environment preferred
  • Capacity to collaborate with supervisors, co-workers, operators, technicians, management personnel and others
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma manufacturing methods is helpful
  • Approximately 75% of the workdays are spent walking or standing (e.g. traveling to and from work areas, etc.)
  • Frequent handling, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, reaching and grasping performed
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Regular stooping, kneeling or crouching and occasional climbing of stairs, ladders
  • Close vision and color vision required
  • Ability to wear a respirator
