If you have a passion for Payroll and Benefits along with supporting managers and colleagues, our People Services Specialist role could be your next opportunity! We’re seeking a collaborative partner to support employees with their “Moments that Matter” in our Wiscasset and Brunswick Maine facilities. You’ll provide onsite support for employee questions and act as the initial point of contact regarding benefits and payroll for questions and concerns. The People Specialist is also responsible for local training, ensuring compliance and documentation of related tasks, and will provide the local People Partner (HRBP) with efficient Administrative & HRIS support.

 

The People Services team is the primary service delivery function within our Human Resources function. We are the first and second line of support to managers and employees within the scope of the PEOPLE Services function.

 

This will be office-based rotating between our two manufacturing sites in Wiscasset & Brunswick!

 

Here’s a snapshot of what you’ll do:

  • On-boarding and Off-boarding of employees including ensuring local new hire, on-boarding, change, and off-boarding administration processes are undertaken efficiently and reported correctly to external partners.
  • People and organizational changes support
  • Deliver new hire payroll and benefits onboarding presentations during orientation. Develops and/or participates in trainings, in-services, and attends local staff meetings as required.
  • Compensation, payroll, and benefits support including Day-to-day payroll and benefits administration including portal management and follow up with respective employees
  • Employee engagement, attraction, and retention strategies
  • Efficient training and source of knowledge of all People policies, processes, systems  and providers

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a fast-paced, confidential, people-focused environment, focusing on policy, payroll, and benefits administration.
  • The successful candidate is a self-starter who will demonstrate strong stakeholder management, adaptability, & prioritization skills
  • Experience in Payroll and Benefits software.
  • Excellent organization skills and robust data analytics skills.
  • Essential to be efficient in data integrity and IT systems, including using PEOPLE Management systems and Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Training and onboarding experience desirable.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing site is desirable
