IT Application Manager

This will cover our Brunswick and Wiscasset locations.  

The Factory Application Specialist will serve the business organisation with application management services, service training and knowledge of local and global solutions.


The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Acts in an advisory and support role to capture business demands and translating into IT, working in close collaboration with other business colleagues.
  • Is responsible to manage the delivery, to ensure that the IT services offered provide the right level of user satisfaction and cost effectiveness, this also includes project implementation. This includes to ensure that knowledge level and training are at the right level.
  • Is responsible for ensuring applications are aligned with policies and procedures according to global standards
  • Has a strong connection to the Global Solution Management organization and will act as the point of contact for coordination and questions related to the global application services
  • Manages compliance by ensuring that the IT services comply with policies and standards, e.g. on regulatory compliance and security


  • Comprehensive knowledge in the designated Application Management area
  • Basic knowledge in IT security and enterprise architecture
  • Understanding of business drivers and the ability to translate that into demands on IT, in order to provide IT services that meets business needs
  • Communication, be able to switch seamlessly between the language of business people and of IT specialists and explain IT issues in non-technical ways
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with a variety of stakeholders at a variety of levels in and outside the organization
  • Systems and process thinking with the ability to see how parts interact with the whole system landscape

  • Pro-active collaboration with business counterparts
  • Training programs for users to drive change
  • Prioritization and escalation of tickets within the Application Management area
  • Pro-active problem management to eliminate re-occurring incidents
    Shared with others:
  • Prioritize business needs together with regional IT Director(s) and/or business governance groups
    Qualifications and Experience:
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in IT, Business or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in ERP and MRP, preferably in relation to factory and warehouse operations (SD, MM, PP, FI, CO), as Application Specialist or Key-User
  • Experience of MES, WMS and PLM system and process is an advantage
  • Solid knowledge within service management (ITIL framework)
  • Strong organization skills, self-going and self-motivating
  • Team player and a motivator
  • Experience working for an internal company is a plus
  • Knowledge of Health Care Industry is a plus

    Additional Information:
  • The position will be required to provide after-hours support for critical production systems on a rotational basis
