We are recruiting  a Business Ethics Manager,APAC.

 

•  The APAC Compliance Manager is overseeing the development and implementation of the local/regional business ethics compliance programme and provides daily support on business ethics issues to the local units across BAs in the markets that the role serves.
•    Further, the APAC Compliance Manager supports the Regional Compliance Officer on governance (e.g. by participating or supporting selected Compliance Committees in the relevant region) and with regional projects such as the Compliance Management Framework roll-out and assists local GMs and BERs in adapting global policies and processes and to make changes required to comply with local legislation. 
•    The APAC Compliance Manager is responsible for escalating cases of misconduct in the local markets to the Regional Compliance Officer, if local management does not enforce misconduct properly or does not put in place required measures to mitigate risk and prevent misconduct.

 

What you'll do

 

•    Strategic interaction with senior leadership
  The APAC Compliance Manager will have interaction lines with senior management through regular Compliance Committee(-s) and other defined interaction forums in the markets served by the role and on ad hoc basis. 
•    Strategic and tactical responsibility for supporting the local organisations in the markets served by the APAC Compliance Manager:
  Project management on selected business ethics compliance initiatives in the markets, e.g., participation in and following up on implementation of the   Compliance Management Framework locally
  Identify local market trends and risks and develop mitigation measures in collaboration with the business and other staff functions, and facilitate/align/develop best practices across the region and BAs
 Represent the business ethics compliance function in employee meetings and working groups and be a visible partner for the business units in the markets served
  In consultation with the Regional Compliance Officer, support selected cluster and local LTs on how to handle business ethics 
 Support the local senior managers in their responsibility for implementation of Code of Conduct and other global, regional and local business ethics policies and SOPs
 Implement and from time to time develop ad hoc training specifically targeted at business units, markets or functions requiring targeted training to mitigate local risks
  Monitor, and as necessary, coordinate compliance activities of other departments to remain abreast of the status of compliance activities locally/in clusters served 
  Where mandated, assist in or conduct local business ethics investigations and reviews and develop mitigation and action plans
 The APAC Compliance Manager supports the local organisation in mandatory regional reporting, e.g. MedTech APAC’s transparency reporting.
  Support local distributor responsible colleagues to conduct third party due diligence of distributors and agents, including providing recommendations on corrective actions on due diligence findings and proactive communication including training efforts externally with third parties (e.g. distributors and other business partners) in the markets/clusters served.
•    Daily organisational interactions and responsibility for business ethics compliance 

  Advising on issues regarding:
  Code of Conduct and other global policies
  Local industry guidelines and regulation
  Applicable local legal compliance guidelines and frameworks
  Applicable local and regional transparency regulation
  Business Ethics Compliance best practices 
  Supporting assessment and management of business ethics compliance risks (identification, prioritization, mitigation recommendations and follow-up) locally/in clusters.

What you'll decide

 

•    If the local management does not take the advice provided by the APAC Compliance Manager, the APAC Compliance Manager is responsible for escalation to the Regional Compliance Officer. 
•    Represent Mölnlycke in compliance working groups of relevant local industry associations and similar fora.
•    Design policies and SOPs to accommodate specific local challenges – such design is made in collaboration with other relevant functions and must be aligned with the Regional Compliance Officer prior to final approval of policy/SOP.

 

What you'll need

 

Qualifications and experience

•    MBA/Master degree in relevant area such as law, finance, behavioural science, political science or other
•    Experience with business ethics compliance, preferably from the medical device or pharmaceutical industry
•    Experience from a similar role is an advantage
•    Fluent in English and preferably in at least one other language spoken in the relevant region
