Warehouse Team Lead

About the role
As a Warehouse Team Lead, you will support the coordination and oversight of daily warehouse activities, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and shipment of products while maintaining a safe, organized, and compliant work environment. Working closely with Warehouse Supervisors and the Warehouse Manager, you will help guide day-to-day operations, support team performance, and ensure established quality, productivity, and safety standards are met.
You will also serve as a key resource for warehouse employees, providing leadership, training, coaching, and operational support to help keep the distribution center running smoothly.
What you'll do
In this role, you will:
- Support the coordination and oversight of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and shipping activities
- Assist with developing work schedules, setting priorities, and adjusting assignments based on workload demands and staffing needs
- Monitor daily warehouse performance to ensure productivity, quality, and service standards are achieved
- Partner with employees to identify opportunities for improvement and address performance or process issues
- Communicate and reinforce company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Support interviewing, onboarding, training, and development of warehouse personnel
- Provide feedback and input for employee performance evaluations
- Assist with physical inventory processes, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy initiatives
- Review and complete required shipping, transportation, and warehouse documentation
- Help ensure compliance with departmental safety standards and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Complete operational reports and maintain distribution records in accordance with established procedures
- Train new employees and ensure team compliance with required training programs
- Provide coverage for Warehouse Supervisors when needed
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and warehouse personnel
- Experience supporting operational performance, quality standards, and safety initiatives
- High school diploma or GED preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- 2-3 years of warehouse experience, including knowledge of distribution operations, inventory control practices, and shipping processes
Physical requirements
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to bend, stoop, walk, and stand for extended periods of time
